PalGar was developed by Paul Nash and used to be available as Gypsy.
He's given up on it because of limited time and legal issues with the
name "Gypsy". I didn't want to let it die.
I downloaded his sources and already made it compile with the Palm
It works fine with my Garmin GPS 12XL.

get protocol info from GPS.
get date/time from GPS. This sets date/time on the Palm.
set description for new waypoint via the [New] button.
The Palm's date and time are used.

software I know has this option.
